Citizens Support UGB Measure with Key Revisions - Comment Letter

The Citizens to Renew Sonoma's Urban Growth Boundary supports the revised draft of the UGB ballot measure for a 20-year renewal of the existing boundary with key recommendations to maintain the 5-acre gross maximum acreage per year for a total of 20 acres over 20 years for affordable housing exemptions made without a vote of the people. The City Council should also retain provisions that require a finding that there is no place to build within the UGB before making the exemption. A vote of 4 out of 5 City Council members should be needed. See our full comment letter attached and a matrix of proposed changes.
